The MTS Perpetual Inventory Module is the core module for Material Tracking Suite, providing Inventory information and management. The Inventory Module supports real-time reporting, including Days Inventory on Hand, Inventory Turns, and provides MRP with accurate inventory. MTS Inventory Module delivers advanced actual cost data. The Module provides cycle counting tools and an alternative to full physical inventory. Perpetual Inventory may be integrated with ERP or accounting systems for automated update.

Application Preferences and Settings
- Inventory Synchronization Records include inventory definition fields and non-accounting based data records. Inventory Synchronization Records may be used with or without an existing Accounting System, enabling the user to include bill-of-materials (BOM) definitions, including the following:
- Approved substitutions
- Unit of measure (UOM) conversions
- Unique user definable properties
- Item Master synchronizes with ERP or stand-alone accounting system
- Expanded multi-level BOM with explosion and cost roll-up
- BOM to available inventory validation utility
- Per line consumption of BOM for WIP tracking

Searching and Viewing Inventory
The built-in search engine makes viewing inventory characteristic quick and easy, with a broad range of search criteria available. In addition, all columns are sortable and arrangeable, enabling custom arrangement of data to the user’s preference.

Perpetual Inventory has built-in support for export to Excel and PDF, making custom reporting quick and easy. Any view of inventory may be exported.
Built-in Support for Barcode Labeling and Scanning
Easy to set-up and use built-in barcode labeling and scanning makes materials identification fast and simple.
